Casual Vacancy Announcement January 2025
A casual vacancy has arisen on Bolton-le-Sands Parish Council. Residents have until 31st January 2025 to request an election by submitting a notice to the Returning Officer. If no election is requested, the council will fill the vacancy by co-option.

The Parish Council announces a casual vacancy in accordance with Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act, 1972. Residents of Bolton-le-Sands have the opportunity to request an election by submitting a notice signed by ten electors of the parish.
Notices should be sent to the Returning Officer at Lancaster Town Hall, either in person between 9 AM and 1 PM, Monday to Friday, or via email at elections@lancaster.gov.uk. The deadline for submitting a notice is 31st January 2025.
If no election is requested by this date, the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
