Temporary Road Closure Main Road, Bolton-le-Sands 27–29 August 2025

A section of Main Road in Bolton-le-Sands will be temporarily closed to through traffic from 08:00 on Wednesday 27 August 2025 until 17:00 on Friday 29 August 2025, or until the works are completed.

The closure affects the area 10 metres either side of property number 87 Main Road. This is to allow United Utilities (via Network Plus) to carry out essential work to disconnect and replace an old lead water supply.

• Location: Outside No.87 Main Road

• Access: Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times

• Reason: Lead water pipe replacement works by United Utilities

• Contractor: Network Plus

Diversion Route:

Traffic will be diverted via: Main Road – A6 Bye-pass Road – A6 Slyne Road – Slyne Road – Main Road (and vice versa)
