Scarecrow Trail
The Bolton-le-Sands, Slyne and Hest Bank Scarecrow Trail is a community event that raises funds for charity through fun, creative activities. Participants in the village and surrounding area create scarecrows to display, and residents and visitors are encouraged to explore the village to view the various scarecrows on display. The event promotes community spirit while also supporting local causes, with funds raised through donations. This year, the festival is raising money for St. John’s Hospice, a local charity that provides palliative care services to individuals with life-limiting conditions. In its second year, the scarecrow trail could become a tradition, bringing together families, friends, and neighbors in support of a good cause.
