Temporary Road Closure The Ginnel and Nether Kellet Road July August 2025
The Ginnel and part of Nether Kellet Road, Over Kellet, will be closed from 28th July to 6th August 2025 for cable installation works.

Temporary Road Closure: The Ginnel and Nether Kellet Road, Over Kellet
Lancashire County Council intends to make an order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on The Ginnel and a section of Nether Kellet Road, Over Kellet, from Monday 28th July 2025 to Wednesday 6th August 2025.
The closure is required for Low Voltage cable reinforcement works, including excavation and jointing, on behalf of Electricity North West.
Roads affected:
- The Ginnel (from Woodlands to Nether Kellet Road)
- Nether Kellet Road (from The Ginnel to Court House)
Access:
- Vehicular access for residents and emergency services will be maintained wherever possible.
- Pedestrian access will always be maintained.
Diversion route:
- B6254 Kellet Road – Back Lane – Main Road – Nether Kellet Road (and vice versa).
