Temporary Road Closure Broadlands Drive and Slyne Road June 2025

Lancashire County Council will implement a temporary prohibition of through traffic on Broadlands Drive and Slyne Road in Slyne to facilitate essential gas main replacement works on behalf of Cadent Gas. The closure is part of a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order made under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Closure Details

• Roads Affected
  • Broadlands Drive: from outside No. 3 Broadlands Drive to its junction with the A6 Slyne Road
  • Slyne Road: from the junction with the A6 Slyne Road to its junction with Main Road
• Dates & Times
  • From 08:00 on Monday 30 June 2025
  • Until 17:00 on Sunday 27 July 2025 (or until works are complete)

Diversion Routes
Vehicular traffic will be diverted via the A6 Slyne Road in both directions:

• Broadlands Drive ⇄ A6 Slyne Road
• Slyne Road ⇄ A6 Slyne Road

Pedestrian Access
Pedestrian access to all properties within the closure zone will be maintained at all times.

Why the Closure?
These restrictions are necessary to allow safe, uninterrupted gas main replacement works by Cadent Gas, ensuring the reliability of the local gas network and the safety of road users.
